i dreamed of you last night
your tender kiss still in my mind

some see fireworks i saw the universe
a kiss so pure i could have died happily
knowing such perfection
i can still see the look in your eyes
i can still smell your beautiful scent
i can still taste you on my lips
i can still hear your soft sigh
i still feel your lips on mine
i dreamed of you last night
and it lingers with me throughout the day
i wonder if i'll ever know such perfection awake
will i have to settle for dreams
perhaps i will know soon
until then i make my way
through my menial day
hoping the night will come soon
