i see your face in the clouds
i hear your voice in every rain drop
i feel your touch on the wind
i close my eyes and you are there
oh how i wish to wake with you by my side
every song i hear reminds me of you
how i wish i could sing to you
my words are lacking and feeble
how could you ever want me
i am nothing but words on paper
perhaps you misunderstand
perhaps you take me too lightly
i want nothing more
than to write you poetry for eternity

why do i pretend
